Quina nit la dels 78ns Globus d’or! Sorpreses a dojo i molts premiats (també a les pel·lícules) que no han passat pel cinema i s’han quedat a la petita pantalla. Anem per parts. En l’apartat de llargmetratge hi ha dues clares vencedores. Per un costat Nomadland ha estat la triomfadora en l’apartat dramàtic enduant-se el premi al Millor Film Dramàtic i la Millor Direcció per Chloé Zhao. És la segona vegada a la història que una directora recull aquest guardó després que ho fes l’any 1984 Barbra Streisand per Yentl. La directora nascuda a Pequín es converteix però en la 1a asiàtica en aconseguir aquest enorme reconeixement. La pel·lícula s’estrena el 26 de març al nostre país. Paciència que aviat la podrem veure.

En l’apartat de comèdia la glòria és pel britànic Sasha Baron Cohen. Borat 2, la seqüela de la hilarant cinta que va firmar l’any 2008 ha aconseguit el premi a la Millor Pel·lícula de Comèdia i ell mateix s’ha endut el guardó al Millor actor. El film es va estrenar directament a Amazon Prime el passat mes d’octubre sense passar pels cinemes i és, una altra vegada un manatial d’humor negre i comèdia irreverent.

Soul, el Millor Film d’animació (i Millor Banda Sonora) tampoc han vist les grans pantalles ja que es va estrenar directament a Disney +. I també s’ha estrenat directament a Netflix la pel·lícula que li ha donat el Globus d’or pòstum a Chadwick Boseman, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. La seva vídua ha estat l’encarregada de recollir el premi i, molt emocionada, ha explicat que ell hagués donat les gràcies a l’equip als seus ancestres i que hagués fet un discurs emotiu inspirador… però que ella ja no té les seves paraules.

Seguint amb llargmetratges premiats només vistos a la TV trobem The Trial of the Chicago 7 que li ha valgut el Millor Guió a Aaron Sorkin (únic guardó pel film). Un altre premi destacat que pot apuntar tendències de cara els Oscars és el de Minari. La pel·lícula sobre el somni americà d’una família coreana dirigida per Lee Isaac Chung s’ha endut el guardó al Millor Film de llengua no anglesa. Al nostre país la podrem veure a les sales de cinema a partir del dia 12 de març. Les grans derrotades de la nit han estat Mank, que partia com a favorita amb 6 candidatures (sent la més nominada) i The Father que no ha obtingut cap dels quatre premis als quals optava.
Netflix domina la petita pantalla
La gran vencedora en l’apartat televisiu és sens dubte Netflix. El nou gegant de Hollywood ha guanyat gran part dels premis de televisió començant pels 4 Premis per a la sèrie The Crown (Millor Sèrie Dramàtica, Millor Actriu, Millor Actor i Millor Actriu de Repartiment). Tampoc s’ha quedat curta The Queen’s Gambit que s’ha coronat com a Millor Sèrie curta i ha entornat l’actriu Anya Taylor-Joy com a Millor Actriu en aquest apartat.

Poc espai ha quedat per la resta de produccions però sí cal destacar els dos guardons de Schitt’s Creek (Millor Sèrie còmica i Millor Actriu de comèdia) que se sumen als reconeixements que ja va rebre als Emmys. També han recollit estatuetes Mark Ruffalo i Jason Sudeiki pels seus papers protagonistes a I Know This Much Is True i Ted Lasso.
