Els premis més importants del món del cinema estan a punt de tenir noms i cognoms… Com a mínim ja sabem els finalistes entre els quals destaquen, com era d’esperar, quatre títols. Encapçala la llista la cruesa del nou Joker (11 nominacions) seguida molt de la vora de les que seran les grans rivals a batre: la nostàlgia de Once upon a time in… Hollywood, la vella escola mafiosa de The Irishman i el retrat de la guerra de 1917 (totes amb 1o nominacions).
Està clar que aquestes no són les úniques cintes amb opcions a endur-se la màxima glòria cinèfila el dia 10 de febrer al Dolby Theatre de Los Angeles en una cerimònia que igual que l’any passat no tindrà un únic presentador. Cal destacar les 6 nominacions del film coreà Parasite, una fita èpica per un film asiàtic. També és una llista amb moltes alegries pel cinema espanyol ja que Almodóvar torna a col·locar un film a la redefinida candidatura de Millor pel·lícula estrangera i també Antonio Banderas opta a l’estatueta de Millor actor per Dolor y gloria. Però no s’acaba aquí… el film d’animació Klaus del madrileny Sergio Pablos està nominat com a millor film d’animació passat per sobre, per exemple, de Frozen 2.
Una altra dada remarcable són les 24 nominacions que acumulen les pel·lícules de Netflix (Marriage Story, The Irishman, The two popes, Klaus) que ja pot considerar-se una major més de Hollywood i lluitar cara a cara amb les grans empreses del cinema a nivell mundial.
