Ja tenim la primera llista de premis grossos. Els Globus d’or que atorga l’associació estrangera de premsa dels Estats Units han anunciat els candidats als guardons i hi ha força sorpreses. La primera és que per primer cop a la història a la categoria de Millor Direcció hi ha més dones nominades que homes… I una altra de les notícies destacades és que Netflix domina l’escenari amb fins a 44 nominacions entre pel·lícules i sèries. Però anem a pams. Mank David Fincher és la cinta més nominada amb sis candidatures i The Trial of the Chicago 7 d’Aaron Sorkin la segueix de ben a prop amb cinc nominacions.
En l’apartat de sèries, The Crown és la favorita amb sis opcions de premi seguida de la comèdia canadenca Schitt ‘s Creek, que opta a cinc Globus d’or. Amb quatre nominacions The Undoing i Ozark poden donar sorpreses també. La gala se celebrarà la matinada del dia 28 de febrer per primera vegada en dues seus diferents. A Nova York Tina Fey serà l’amfitriona al Rainbow Room del Rockefeller Center mentre que a Beberly Hills hi haurà Amy Poehler al The Beverly Hilton, la seu habitual dels premis que atorga la premsa estrangera que cobreix la informació cinematogràfica als Estats Units.
